Sten Reijers, CTO and founder of Chaintip has always been passionate about high-performance computing and distributed systems. In 2011 he first encountered Bitcoin and he started mining Litecoin in 2013. During his masters at the university, he worked in the branch of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) that use numerical methods to analyze and solve complex multiphase fluid problems. He helped develop an adaptive Lattice-Boltzmann method for multiphase flows, a GPU accelerated lattice-Boltzmann method and various finite element and spectral methods. These experiences eventually let him to develop one of the first equihash GPU-miners for the Zcash blockchain in 2016. With his PhD in CFD Sten has built up an unmatched experience in high-performance computing.

Daniël den Boer, CEO and co-founder of Chaintip has always had a passion for emerging technologies like AI and blockchain technology. Daniël has a masters degree in Applied Physics from the Technical University of Eindhoven where he specialized in Fluid Dynamics. He later went on to develop Monte Carlo simulation methods in the field of medical physics. He then pursued a post-academic Medical Physics degree where he consulted on improving and implementing new (diagnostic medical imaging) technologies such as AI. He first encountered the blockchain industry late 2015 and has been raving about it ever since, obsessed with its potential to create a tokenized world and a more fair and inclusive economy that works for everyone.

After exchanging thoughts on cryptocurrency exchanges, Sten and Daniël decided to co-found Chaintip and pursue their own shared vision: a safe and secure, high-performance decentralized digital asset exchange. Thereby creating a fair and inclusive economy powered by tokenization. Later Daniël would also co-found Crypto Delta.
